The founder of TestSwitch entered the utility industry in 1983, starting with a Sliding Link Switch. The company’s focus now is its flagship product, the W3TS Test Switch, which has been available since early 2001.
TestSwitch, an ISO 9000 company, manufactures and sells the W3TS Test Switch and terminal blocks, which are designed to facilitate the calibration, disconnection, troubleshooting, checkout and testing of meters, relays, instruments, transducers and control systems, where space is at a premium.
TestSwitch products are rated at 30 Amperes, 600 Volts. The W3TS Test Switch is dependable (more than 30,000 operations), safer (providing maximum operator protection with its patented safety-knob handle and thermoplastic mounting plate), space-saving (each switch only 5/8” wide), and versatile (unit pole construction permits unlimited arrangements of elements with 1 to 52 poles in a single block).
Cage code 32FZ6 allows TestSwitch to bid on Federal contracts, and the company is NAFTA approved with forms available for all blocks and switches.
Reliable and Safe Test Switches
No risk of electric shock:
Our safety knob (Patent #5722534) gives operators the option of using a standard 5/16″ nut driver to open or close the test switch. Fingers stay out of reach of current-carrying parts. Just fit the nut driver over molded safety knob and pull up to open, down to close.
No metal mounting plates:
Our exclusive footed barrier (Patent #5722534) wraps around each test switch to form a fail-safe reinforced thermoplastic mounting plate.
Because our mounting plate is non-conductive, no additional insulation is required. This makes potting unnecessary and assures a safer, more reliable test switch.
